After two weeks of anticipation by students waiting to hear if they will be one of the Last Minute "Producers"and hours of interviews and discussion by Last Minute Productions members, the list has finally been compiled. These students are now- part of the Last Minute "Producers": Ken Harris, Diane Richards, Michael Moore, Kathy Freeman, Dennis Barger, Sandra Kay Jones, Ron Rundus, Wanda Stanfield, Todd Hedrick, Mary Carville, Mark Rucker, Denise Parker, Myron McGhee, Mary Hemm, Chris Loftis, Lisa Yates, Quentyn Young, Betsy Carter, Gregg Steinberger, Ta\ia Stowe, Warren Walker and Gearge Wallace as honorary member. Benifits for being selected include T-shirts, free admission to most LMP events, study bags, leadership development, parties, opportunities to meet new people, and many other benefits. Congratulations to those selected and a sincere thanks to everyone who applied. I ast Minute Productions is looking into bringing PKA Full Contact Karate to Reid Gym. Full Contact Karate is essentially kick-boxing with all bouts sanctioned by the professional Karate Association. Full Contact Karate is extremely exciting where the fighters are able to kick with thier feet as well as with their hands Since PKA Karate is such a new sport, LMP needs your hepl in deciding whether to sponsor a night of Full Contact Karate lighting. If you would like to see PKA Karate at WCU, please call 227-7479 or come by the LMP office, 2nd floor of the UC. If you want to see PKA Karate then vou need to let us know! The performers of Open Mike Night played to a standing room only audience. All acts were very good and the audience was pleased with the variety of acts. The next Open Mike Night will be sometime in October so stay tuned to"LMPNotes"forthe specific date. Aspecial thanks to Mary Carvilie and Julie Carpenter for their help during Open Mike Night. LMP sponsored a cookout Sunday, September 12 for all the student leadership organizations on campus. The purpose for the meeting was so that the members of the different organizations could meet each other and discuss the year's activities. Thanks to RHCC, the Catamount staff, SLAGA, Outing Club, and SGA for attending. .38 Special tickets go on sale September 27,1st floor of the LC in the administration office. Ticket sales will be from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM Monday thru Fridav Student tickets are $7.00 and $10.00 for non-students. If y ou purchase a student ticket, you must have you student ID at the door of Reid Gym prior to admission. After 4:00 PM, October 20, all tickets purchased will be $10.00 reguardless of student non-student status. There are no refunds or exchanges. Remember, Reid Gym holds only 2,500 people and tickets are available to over 5,000 WCU students and others in the commumi. I he movie Friday night, September 17, is Ragtime. After the movie come out and dance from 9:00 PM until 2 12:00 PM in the Cherokee Room of the UC. Kenny Morrison will be the DJ. Admission for the movie is $1.50 for students and $2.00 for non-students. Admission for the dance is $1.00.
