  • many employers are visiting the schools. And many who do just dont have many jobs to offer. So there are less people seeking you out to offer a job. Conversely, job-hunting, which almost became a lost art is becoming popular again. This should be of no real concern to you. There are plenty of good challenging positions in our society for those who are well trained as you are. My first observation, therefore, is to get out and sell yourself and your ideas in obtaining the job you want. Another observation: success, like freedom, has as many definitions as we have people. When different people try to define success verbally, the words all sound different. Yet an individual knows when he reaches his goal. He knows if he is successful. When each man reaches a state of mind of success, he has achieved at least one of the factors of a rewarding life. | suggest we should not put down success. This is not to imply that the difference between success and discontent is only a few dollars. There is, nonetheless, a personal goal of success for each of us which, if we achieve it, brings happiness. | would encourage you to select a set of realistic personal goals. These can be established at an early date and can be modified throughout life. | believe that, among these lifetime goals, there must be some that involve a high moral commitment on the individuals part, some service to others. If these goals involving personal moral issues are missing, if moral commitments are never made, then, in the later years, even reach- ing numerous material goals will result in a form of success that is rather disap- pointing and hollow.
