Richard Grace, of WCC's music faculty, is director. Pat Montague of Sylva is accompanist. "Down In The Valley" will be! presented at Waynesville Township High School Thursday, June 30. The role of Jennie in this performance will be portrayed by Nancy Francis daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Francis of Waynesville. Friday, July 1, the opera will be staged on the campus at Western Carolina, starring Patricia Edwards of Asheville, in the role of j Jennie. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. K. B. Edwards of Ashe- Arnold Penland Jr. and Tommy Burton are co-starred in the male leads for both performances. Penland, tenor, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Penland Sr., Arden. Burton, in the baritone lead, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Burton of Burnsville. Supporting roles are played by |Rav Fentriss Jr. of Pilot Mountain: _Bob Stager. Elizabeth City: McElrath, Canton. ' departure from the regular j is a square dance sequence; performed by the C u 11 o w h e e j Square Dance Team, sponsored by: Felton Harrison of the Training j School faculty. The Camp Band, directed by Dr. David Price, will lead off the1 week's schedule with an outdoor concert on Woodland Stage on the: campus Sunday at 8 p. m. Monday night the music camp faculty will appear in concert in Gallery of Hunter Library at , co-sponsored by the Summer Music Camp and the College Lyceum Committee. Scheduled for this performance are: Mrs. Glen- nis Stout, flute: Robert Organ, bassoon; Louis Stout, horn; Ralph Middleton, trumpet; Hubert Meyer, bass; Jea'nnette Tucker, perous- David Price, clarinet; Rich-| ard Renfro, piano; and Dan Ellis, trombone solo.
