Young said after practice today that Jon Carswell of Granite Falls and Reg Huffstetler of Belmont will alternate at the right guard position. Bobby Kuykendall, who formerly held that post, is thought to be out for the remainder of the season. The other freshman who figures prominently in Young's plans is halfback Jack Hendrix of Oakley. Hendrix made a good showing I against Emory and Henry last) Indications that the Catamounts will pass more than usual Saturday night came this afternoon when Young directed his charges through an extensive passing drill. Quarterbacks Tommy Lewis and Bob Lee both looked sharp throwing while ends Jack Cunningham and Bob Harvey and halfback Bob iJoye, back in action after recovering from an ankle injury, showed more polish in gathering in the aerials. The Cats also ran through signal drills and worked on punts and kickofl's and punt and kickoff returns. Halfback G. I. Miller, who has missed practice this week because of an attack of influenza, remained on the doubtful list.
