"When properly preserved anci conducted on the plan of the famous Yellowstone Park in the North-west , game life would again be come plentiful, and the streams, the natural home of the trout, would again abound with till same as in the days cf old.. yt is then.with the greatest satisfaction that we notice that on the 22nd of November last there was organized in Asheville, II. C. an Association for the promotion of a Southern National Park and Forest Reserve, This Convension. was attended hy representative men from all over the South eastern States, including such well known men as Senator Butler and Senator Crawford of North Carolina, Roses II. Cone of New York, P. A. Stovall of Savannah, Ga. J. C. Garlington of Spartanburg, S. C, II. C. Eccles, Charlotte, N. C.,J. C. Gibbs, Columbia, S. C, J. C. Hatfgood, Charleston, S. C,.
