Resolution in response to President McKinley assault

President William McKinley (1843-1901) appeared to support the Appalachian National Park Association in its efforts to establish a national park in the southern U.S. Only six months into his second term, the president was assassinated. This draft resolution was written after the president was shot and expresses hope that he will survive. He died on September 14, 1901.
