Round trip hiking distance 4 miles. Trail rough. Elevation 4700 feet. Bring a good lunch (and a wild- flower guide, if you have one). Cost of transportation about $2.00 each. SPRING GET-TOGETHER MEETING Have all members of the club, or as many as 90% of them, been together at one time? Probably not, but here is an occasion that should bring out everyone of them. A spring get-together meeting, with an interesting program on nature study, should have appeal enough in themselves. But when we tell you that this meeting is to be at the Audubon Society Club House on the Bird Preserve, that should cause you to now make a definite engagement to be there— rain or shine. That little bit of wooded wilderness, right here in the city, should be familiar to every Knoxvillian, especially to hikers and nature lovers. And speaking of nature lovers, the program is calculated to encourage hikers to see and learn more of the varied beauties of nature as we hike throughout the different sections of the Great Smokies. Most of the poets have left suggestions of the lasting satisfaction that comes to those who get out into the open, especially those who seek something more than the mere exererae "-and -the panoramic views, inspiring as they are.
