The heart is lonely, But the mind is NEVER ALONE. Kelly Hill Hope Behind the Stars Late at night gleaming in the stars Is a celestrial message written in the sky Scintillating across the mighty high heaven Reaching down to the movements of the heart A streamed of life rushing to be received The night time sparkle glitter ray shines Waiting for it's beauty to be shared And lights all the atmosphere a peaceful atmosphere. At midnight peak slowly dim the bulbs Revealing the secret hidden far beyond A transendent truth touching all souls In the early morning dawn picture Painted across the vast horizon sky The resurrection of an early rising sun Blooming the birth of a brand new day Full of hope to motion dreams reality. This 1980, 32-page book of poems titled Neo-Blackness was published by the Organization of Ebony Students. Named in 1973, the Organization of Ebony Students was originally the Black Students United for Liberation which was founded in 1968 to promote unity among African American students. The organization is now called the Black Student Union and continues to promote the interests of WCU’s African American student body through cultural and educational activities and is open to all cultures.
