  • To the Black Students of W.C.U.: I, Thomas Hoffler, as president of the Organization of Ebony Students, along with the executive board wish to welcome all new and returning students to Western, O.E.S. in the academic year of 80-81 will strive toward a higher level of productivity and internal development. In doing so, we shall try to incorporate the physical, mental, and social abilities of the minority of students on this campus. O.E.S. wants to symbolize pride and responsibility in dealing with issues which seek to divide our kinship. Being a member of O.E.S. is a tremendous opportunity for us to make significant changes to benefit future minority students. We as minority students should see our strengths as a positive influence to aid the organization in political struggle. As president, I will do everything in my power to see that these objectives are carried out. I wish to thank you for your past and future support. O.E.S. is an organization of unity and love and wherever I am, I hope to be a positive symbol of our undieing devotion. Thomas Hoffler President of the Organization of Ebony Students
