"utder, Knoxville, Tenn, My dear Gen, Tilder:- 1 herewith enclose copies of two letters which, have recently o-'.^.n addressed to the Secretary of the Kno.xvj-j.le Chamber Of Commerce, Since starting this Appalachian National Park movement m have frequently addressed letters to the Chsml>«r ©f Commerce of Knoxville, but up to this time have never ueen honored with a reply, although we bave noted in the Knoxville papers that the Chamber of commerce was greatly interested in the matter ana that the citizens of Knoxville would lend the movement every as-uuu:qnc-. in their pouer, 'T'e have HOW in the h-mdz of the printer the manuscript for a booklet which, covers everything done regarding the Park matter up to this time and by Senator Fritchard's request have ordered ten thousand coplie of this booklet printed and propose duriag the next few months to distribute these and other literea«iure '.vhersver in the opinion of Senator Pritchuad and the Association it will do the most good* This will all take money and as the bulk of the money which has already been raised to defray the expenses of the Park Association has been raised by subscription here in *sh2ville, and further, as Knoxville is equally interested with Ashtvilla in this matter, we feel that acme financial assistance should be secured from the siti^ens of Knoxville, The A she villa Board
