Klsco, Patterson, Failing and other points in Sen York state and Hill, keep at them until I obtain, if possible their signatures to the petitions fthich you sent me. I will also set into communication fitta our representatives and senators on this subject. I shall enclose them all stamped and addressed envelopes, which I hope will induce prompt replies. I will be glad if you nil! keep me posted as to the progress made by your Association and let me kn»w no/? please if any progress has .been made since you wrote me November loth. I shall £0 to Washington during January if necessary, in order to secure the co-operation of Senators Bawlei and Piatt, and Representatives Sreroy and Hill, all of whom I happen to know personally. As to the genealogy latter: T will rut your letter away in my "at leisure" basket and one cf these days will look it up and writs you again on that subject.
