The Government Forester has had a force of men employed since the first of July and these foresters together with twelve imn of the Geological Survey are still engaged tipon this preliminary investigation, They expect to leave the woods sometime during, this month and their report will be handed in at the coming session of Congress, If their report is favorable the next step will be for us to have presented a Bill praying for an appropriation and Commission whose duty it shall be to secure options, etc,, etc.,. Our Park matter is in the best possible shape and, although these matters necessarily move slowly, we believe we shall win out in the end as the whole country in becoming more or less interested in the preservation of our forests. Almost every news paper in the country has given some reference to our movement, we are keeping a scrap-book of every clipping which is brought to our notice raid trust that in case you, get any of the papers in yotir section interested, you will send us a copy of the paper having reference to our movement. I beg your pardon for not answering your question in regard to o\ir possible relationship, eh<pi writing I entirely over-looked grand- it.
