  • will be operated on today probably. He is a very sick boy, but seems to have the family vitality & recuperative power. I feel he will pull through but he certainly looked mighty little & weak. The last bandages for his broken arm were just about to come off when he went to the Hospital. It started with sinus trouble which did not react to the usual remedies. The Drs said “His head was in an awful condition.” Now some good news. The dietician at Holtsville has a car; she lives in Phelps, near Rochester; is driving home the 21st & has asked Margaret to come this far. The dietitian at the Ithaca Hospital is a friend of Miss Dudleys, so that’s that. One of the Holtsville secretaries is coming along to help drive; she expect to get here Fri. night & leave Mon. a.m. A few weeks ago, Lucy was going to Buffalo to take one of Fritz’s boys home. I went along to Niagara & had two days visit with Jessie & family. They change as little as any one I know. Wanted to know all about you & sent lots of love. It is so easy, I am going again, when the trans- porting car is not full. Saw Nona yesterday she said Mrs. Kirkendall reported that Susie’s mind is
