  • Dear Leonard. It would please me if Mother’s day came every week. That would not be more often than it would be joyful to hear from T.P. However it has been my habit to be content with small favors. Have tried to make my point of view such, that all favors appeared of proper size. Last night I heard a lecture on Mayan ruins by Prof. Morley (not Roosevelt Morley). It has always been one of my ambitions to dig. Perhaps ambition is to large a word for one, the result of whose digging has been grubs + cabbages. No clue to ways long gone has ever resulted in my dirt upheavals; the products have been materialistic futures, rather than aesthetic pasts. Speaking of futures. Karl’s last word is that he will probably go to Mich. The first part of Aug. Lucy + I are hoping to go along. It may be she won’t go + that
