  • Mar. 5 1935 Dear folks – Made it to 122 in about 10 1/2 hrs. driving time. Rode around Gettysburg + had lunch at Y.W.C.A. in Harrisburg – good. It is well I came back, as, on the strength of my arrival, Lucy drove to Buffalo yesterday; will be back Sat. with Ethel + ? more. A friend asked her to go along for company. One blessing is, that The undesirable Lee is taboo here for a time because he + David built a bonfire on the roof of A neighbor’s garage! Were discovered in time after being separated from Lee, David washed the car + watered the lawn with the hot water. There- fore there was no hot water with which to ablute Leonard who fell into a mud puddle
