Mar. 31, 1951 Dear family - This is supposed to be the season for house cleaning (perhaps you can guess what that word is supposed to be.) As usual I like to be in style. One result is that a package will start your way as soon as I can get it mailed. The contents really belongs to the boys. They have been hanging on my bureau & may be a bit dusty. The boys may be sure I have enjoyed having them. The Warrens came here for the Easter week. Laura at once became sick & was in bed

In this letter of March 31, 1951, Laura Kephart writes her family to send the boys something. She mentions that the Warrens came to visit for Easter week and the Fernows have bought a stone house on Elle’s Hollow Road. She includes the chorus of the 1871 Roland Howard song, You Never Miss the Water, Till the Well Runs Dry.
