  • I have rote several times for some summer clothing. I will state once more what I want as you may not have got all my letters. You may send me one summer shirt, one pair drawers, and one pair summer britches. I want you to write whether you got the clothes and money that I sent by Tolliver Huse and whether you got the pair of shoes that I sent by Scot Hill from Goldsboro. I also sent my carpet sack and woolen vest by Bryants Old Koot when he went home. Let me know whether you got them or not. Just direct to Richmond, Va. You must excuse bad writing for I am nervous and hant taken any pains. You can tell that by my writing. Write soon. I must quit for there is coming up a heavy thunder storm. You must excuse bad writing. If I was at home I could tell you lots that I can't write right soon. I can't think of all this morning that I want to, I am in such a hurry. G. J. Huntley
