Dr„ C. P. Ambler, in Turf, Field & Farm: The Appalachian National Park Association and all lovers of forests and wild woods are to be congratulated upon the passage of this bill as it means the first step by the Government toward the preservation of a tract of the virgin forests of the Southern Appalachian Mountains, (/i**-*^^^ (j/HA'l'Vt/W.'.-*'*-'^ Farmer Advocate, Topeka, Kan: Every one interested in having this beautiful region preserved from wanton destruction be fire and timber thieves should write at once to their congressman to vote for the passage of this bill establishing the park. New York Mail and Express: To all lovers of nature the primitive condition of this region appeals most strongly. Montgomery, Ala.-Advertiser: Thousands visit the region annually and are rewarded by scenery and objects which can be seen nowhere else on the American Continent, Brooklyn, N, Y„~Citizen: Measures to stop the destruction of mountain forests which protect the water sources in the Appalachians and elsewhere, will need to be taken some day, and they ought to begin now when the Government is in pecuniary condition to make the cost of condemnation and care a trifling consideration. Great Round World., Mew York City, The region in question is the richest in scenic effects East of the Rocky mountains, Pittsburg, Pa.-Times: Before the States as well as the Nation will see the advantages of government forestry, but in many cases the best opportunity will have been wasted. New York Tribune: The establishment of the proposed National Park in the Southern Appalachian will tend to remedy serious and growing evils,..,,.,.,.. This is a measure which has every consideration in its favor.
