We love you Sable. On April 18, Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma will be assisting the Special Olympics program in Shelby, NC. This program is to support the community and to acknowledge that we are all equal regardless of skin color, race, religion, sex, gender, and physical or mental disability. This Is A Serious Matter: AKAs present "A Touch of Class" Prepare to be dazzled in an evening of entertainment and fashion as the ladies of Kappa Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. present "A Touch of Class". "A Touch of Class" will feature a step show and a fashion show. The production will be presented on Friday, April 26, 1996 at 9:00pm in Niggli Theatre. This 12-page issue of Ebony Chronicles came out in the spring of 1996 and was published by the Organization of Ebony Students. The news magazine voiced the issues and concerns of WCU’s African American community and celebrated their accomplishments and achievements. Named in 1973, the Organization of Ebony Students was originally the Black Students United for Liberation which was founded in 1968 to promote unity among African American students. The organization is now called the Black Student Union and continues to promote the interests of WCU’s African American student body through cultural and educational activities and is open to all cultures.
