Phone: Ithaca 3-2255 7/25/51 Dear Leonard, Lucy and Margaret did a fine job yesterday bringing Grannie down from Boonville to Ithaca in less than four hours. She stood the trip very well. In fact, today she is chipper as can be, I followed them with our car about an hour later, bringing her lamp, table, little bookcase, etc etc. There has been only one hitch. There is no room at the nursing home in Jacksonville right now; and inasmuch as David and Carol’s daughter arrived prematurely, it is necessary for Lucy to go to Pleasantville a month earlier than she had expected. She is going this coming Sunday. Hence a place had to be found for Grannie during Lucy’s absence. Through Dr. Wallace, who has taken over Dr. Willis Wilson’s practice (he took care of Nannie, remember?) We have located a nursing home that is just being started in Enfield Center by a wonderful nurse
