Cloverfield, which was irst introduced to audiences of Transformers with a title- less trailer, was kept under strict secrecy while in prepro- Juction and production, so much so that even the actors ere not told the title of the film or given actual lines from he movie to audition with. Some of Robs friends decide not to let him venture back into he city alone and join him. The group journeys back into the ar-zone that was once New York City to rescue Beth. Soon the group finds themselves in the middle of a war between the army and the discovered monster that is attacking the city. Cloverfield is not a lengthy film, with a runtime of only 85 minutes. The use of the hand held camera allows the audience o become intimate with the characters in the film. Some may ind the shakiness of the images a little distracting. However he vivid scenes and terrifying encounters through the point of view of the camera are what makes this film truly one of the great monster films of our time. crasnes in Tront Oo
