  • 10/19-10/21 Larceny - Hunter Library - An employee reported that a computer was stolen from the CMC area. Alcohol Violation - Scott Hall - After an officer and EMS evaluated a student he was issued a state citation and a UJC for underage possession of alcohol. Threat of Suicide - Scott Hall - An upset intoxicated student was transported to the hospital by EMS. Police had a counselor contacted to meet with the student. Arson - Village Commons Building area - Unknown person (Ss) set a vehicle on fire. Traffic Crash - Teacup Ln - off campus - A WCU officer assisted the Fire Department at an accident where a vehicle had rolled over. Simple Physical Assault - Football Stadium - A student reported that another student hit him. Both parties were intoxicated. Larceny - Scott Hall - A student reported a computer, video game system, and a video game stolen from her unlocked room. 10/22 Assault - Reid Lot area -A female student reported being assaulted. Arrest - Dodson - A student was arrested for the above listed assault Burglar Alarm - Subway - An unknown person broke in and took cash. Burglary - Hunter Library - Unknown person (s) entered the library and took computers and computer equipment. Vandalism - Officers received a report of somebody throwing or hitting golf balls into the lot and hitting vehicles. 10/23 Medical Call - Albright Hall - An officer and EMS assisted with a student who had a seizure. Counseling Services was later contacted to assist. 10/24 Lost or Stolen - Campus - A student reported that another student took his dog after it got loose on campus. The student has his dog back. 10/25 Molestation of a fire Suppression device - Scott Hall -A person removed the cover from a sprinkler head Causing a fire alarm and water problem. Hit and Run - Creek Lot-A student reported that another vehicle hit his vehicle and did not report the incident. Traffic Crash - Centennial Drive - Two vehicles were damaged and body was injured. 10/26-10/28 Burglary - Hunter Library - Two laptop computers and a monitor were stolen. Larceny - Norton Hall-A bicycle was reported stolen from a bike rack. Alcohol Violation - Scott Hall - Four students received Judicial Affairs Referrals relating to underage consumption of alcohol and hosting or attending a party with a small keg and other alcohol. Burglary - Track Sturage Unit -A motorcycle, a grease gun, and a battery were stolen. Mutual Aid - Papas Pizza-A WCU officer assisted deputies by checking the area after the building was reported broken into. Drug Violation - Reynolds - A student was issued a Judicial Affairs Referral for possession of drug paraphernalia. 10/29 Larceny - Norton Hall-A student reported that she left her room unlocked an somebody took her computer. 10/30 Larceny - Lower Helder Lot-A student reported his parking permit stolen from inside his vehicle. 10/31 Mutual Aid - Off campus - Jackson County Sheriffs office request a WCU officer to assist them regarding an assault at Rabbit Ridge an a party out of control at Rabbit Ridge and an assault at the old Quick Stop. Alcohol Violation - NC107 and Campus entrance -A student was issued a state citation and a judicial affairs referral for consuming alcohol while underage.
