Stillman named to All-Scholar team rook Stillman has been named to the 2001-2002 National Golf Coaches Association .Division I All-Scholar Team, the second time a Western Carolina woman golfer has received the honor. The criteria for selection to the team are the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 (3.40 for Junior and Seniors) and student-athletes must have competed in at least 66 percent of the regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year. Stillman, a native of Homer, NY, walked on to the women's golf team as a freshman and has been a four-year latter-winner for the Lady Catamounts. First ever elected team captain and the recipient of the Carrie Schafer and Coach's Awards, she was a founding member of the WCU Student Athlete Advisory Council and has a 3.64 cumulative GPA in upper elementary education. Western's two home games in September (14th vs. West Virginia Tech and the 28th vs. East Tennessee State) are scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm. The remaining three home dates (Oct. 12 vs. Georgia Southern, Oct. 26 vs. Chattanooga and Nov. 16 vs. Appalachian State) are scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm. WCU football will have three events in conjunction with the ETSU, Georgia Southern and Chattanooga games. The annual Mountain Heritage Day will take place prior to the ETSU game on Sept. 28. On the weekend of the Georgia Southern game (Oct. 12), Western will honor its 2002 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees, including Keith LeClair, Lori Lyons- Wilson, Thomas "Bubba" Wilson and Paul Jones. On Oct. 26, versus Chattanooga; Western will welcome back its alumni and friends for Homecoming activi- ties.
