  • Page 8 Thursday, November 14, 1968 Mitch Ryder To Appear Here Monday Night Recording star Mitch Ryder will appear in concert with his ten-piece orchestra at Western Carolina University, Monday, November 18 at 8 pm in Reid' Health and Physical Education Building. The concert will be sponsored by the University Programs Committee under die chairmanship of Tatlor L. Huskins, dean of student affainrs. The Western Carolina con cert will be open to university students free, and to the public at a nominal admission fee. APO Showcase Date Is Given Entries are now being ac= cepted for the fourth annual A Phi O Showcase of Talent sponsored by Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity. The entire proceeds this year will again be given to the U.S.Q. Competion will be dhided into three categories with separate trophies awarded in each. These are Student, Greek, and Faculty. Students who wish to enter may submit a descrip tion of their act along with their name to either Wayne Brown, Box 783, Cullowhee, or to the office of Mr. Peter Hart, Librarian. His office is located of the main floor of the library next to the Staff elevator. Act descriptions should be received by November 26 or, if necessary, no later than De cember 6, The tentative audition date is January 8, 1969. Greek organizations and Faculty will be contacted separately. It is hoped that students will participate by providing the talent and support for an entertaining evening as well as raising funds for United Ser vice Organizations, Inc. TKE Sponsors Charity Toy Drive The Brothers of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and the combined churches of Sylva are sponsoring a toy drive for the needy families of the area. Barrels will be placed on cam ■ pus and in Sylva. Anyone wishing to donate toys should place them in these receptacles. I.D. Cards I.D, cards will be made on Friday, November 15th from 1:30 until 4:30 on the first floor of the University Center. Those students that have lost theirs will need to get a new one made at this time,. This will cost them $1.00. lost And Found A Marine Corps jacket was lost in the cafeteria lobby, Nov ember 11.
