Scholarship Service According to Student College Aid. a nationwide computerized scholarship locator service which has been in existance since September 1980, undergraduate college students have more than 250.000 sources of nongovernmental financial aid available. Over the last few years one fourth of these funds have gone unused. This is over $125,000,000 each year. This is mainly because it would take the student many months to search out all of these listings. Student College Aid uses a computer to match students to the appropriate sources. The student fills in a dataform requesting information about family and self. With this information the computer generates a printout listing the sources of aid appropriate for that student. Many students receive 25 listings but the average is 12, valued at $12,000. The fee for this service is $45.00. The student has a moneyback guarantee. The company guarantees to find at least 5 listings , or those listings discovered and the fee are returned. These 250,000 sources come from such organizations as corporations, unions, philanthropies, colleges, foundations and other private organizations. The service suggests applying 9 to 12 months belore matriculation. For more free information write Student College Aid, 3641 Deal Street.
