  • Novembers, 197V 1HI \ I SI ERN CAR0L1N1AN/P«ie9 [ Stewart Avery's Creek Annual Wagon-train through Pisgah National Park took place last Saturday. Avery's Creek is a small farming community outside Asheville, NC. For the past 15 years, family and friends of the Avery's Creek Community get together around the third weekend in October for a train that travels on dirt roads through Pisgah Forest. This year they started at Bent Creek and ended up at Mills River on Saturday. Saturday night the wagon count was 28 with 250 people and there were 10 horseback riders. The wagons are pulled by the farmers' tractors ranging from oldies to new ones. There was square dancing, banjo picking, singing, football and all hinds of fun. You shouldabeen there.
