Painter to speak SCEC Hubert Shuptrine, nationally known watercolor painter, will speak at 7:30 p.m. October 1 in Room 104 of the Carol Grotnes Belk Building at WCU. Shuptrine will be visiting WCU in connection with Ihe opening Sept. 29 of an exhibition of his work in the Mountain Heritage (enter at WCU. The exhibition will run through Nov. II). Shuptrine has had numerous exhibitions of his work and his paintings have been published widely, but he is best known for his collaboration with poet and writer James Dickey on the book. "Jericho: The South Beheld." The Student Council for Exceptional Children will hold its regular meeting at 6:30 in Killian 112 on October 2, 1979.
