Comedy to play in Little Theatre lhe University Players will perform the award- winning play "Rosencrant/ and Guildenstern Are Dead" December 5 through 10 in the little Theatre here. The comedy by Tom Stoppard, winner of the 1%8 Drama Critics Circle and Tony Awards for best play. takes a look at two minor characters in Shakespeare's "Hamlet." New York Times drama critic Clive Barnes said it "is the play of 'Hamlet' not seen through the cscs ot Hamlet, or Claudius, or Ophelia, >>r Gertrude, hut a worm's-eye view of the tragedy seen from the bewildered standpoint of Rosencrantz and Guilden- Rosencrantz will be played by Tim Dickenson of Greensboro and Guildenstern by Michael L. Genebach of Cullowhee. Jonathan L. Ray, a 1977 WCU graduate from Cullowhee, is cast as The Player. Other cast members include Neal Klimek of Brevard as Hamlet, Henderson A. Many new buildings and projects are being completed which should add to and enhance the si/e and beauts of The old Moore Residence Hall is soon to be the ness Health Science and Nursing Building. Renovation will be completed in March of 1978 and will cost $744,000. As of December of 1978, Bird Administration building will no longer be the home of the administration of WCU. The new administration DECEMBER 1, 1977/THE WESTERN CAROLINIAN/PAGE 11 building is hoped lo be completed at this time lhe new building ssill cost S3,356,000. including the purchase ol all inside moveable equipment such as window blinds and trash cans. The Western Carolinian is Western Carolina University’s student-run newspaper. The paper was published as the Cullowhee Yodel from 1924 to 1931 before changing its name to The Western Carolinian in 1933.
