Those interested may sign for an interview time in the Placement Office, 107 Forsyth Building. University Players second performance of the summer theater season at WCU will be ''And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little," by Paul Zindel. This comedy deals with the lives of three sisters who teach in the public school system. Catherine drinks liquor and eats raw meat, sister Anna saves animals and has had rabies, and sister Ceil cannot understand her two sisters. Members of the cast are i-enni Everitte of Greensboro; Carolyn Fulton of Franklin; Vanessa Drake of Henderson- ville; Andrea Brack of Jacksonville, Fla.; Danny Holloman of Raleigh; Nancy Georgion of Clemson, S. C, and Sam Gray of Winston-Salem. Donald L. Loeffler, department head of speech and theater arts, is the director. Curtain time is 8 p.m., July 9, 10, and 11 in the Little Theater. For those who would like an evening of dinner and theater arrangements have been made with the Canterbury Inn in Cullowhee to serve a buffet dinner each evening of the performance beginning at 6 p.m. in the restaurant. Prices for dinner and theater are $4.25 for adults, $3.50 for children, and $3.75 for college and high school students. For the play only the prices are $1.50 for adults, 75 cents for college and high school students and 50 cents for children. The Phytochemlcal Society of North America will hold its 1974 annual meeting August 7-9 at Western Carolina University. The symposium topic for this year's meeting isphytochemis- try in relation to disease and medicine. Speakers at the meeting include Dr. J. Kuc of Purdue University, Dr. S. M. Kupchan of the University of Virginia, Cr. J. C.Mitchell of Vancouver, B, C, Dr. C. Ressler of the New York Institute for Muscle Disease, and Dr. L. Mitscher of Ohio State University. Also, Dr. R. E. Schultes of Harvard University, Dr. A, I. Scott of Yale University, Dr. M, E. Wall of Research Triangle Institue near Raleigh, Dr. K. Nakanishi of Columbia University, and Dr. J. Duke of the U. S. Department of Agriculture. Further information about the program is available from Dr. James W„ Wallace, WCU associate professor of biology and secretary of the society. The "Western Carolina University Journal of Education," a quarterly publication of the WCU School of Education and Psychology, is offering a $50 prize for the best scholarly article submitted by a grad=. uate student. To be eligible, papers should be on a topic in education or psychology and should be between four and six pages long. Papers may be submitted to any faculty member of the School of Education and Psychology. Deadline for submissions is August 1. The winning paper will be published in the fall issue of the journal. Further information is available from Dr. Lewis E. Cloud, WCU associate professor of curriculum and instruction, who edits the journal. CORRECTION In the last issue of The Western Carolinian, we said that Barbara Mann was a member of the committee which drew up Western's affirmative action plan. That statement was in error.
