Jimmy's is open from 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. Located about 100 yards from Jimmy's is the Village store. Owned by Austin Hooper, the Village Store is open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 8';30 p.m. The Smile Convenience Store- offers one-stop service for food and gasoline. It is open 24 hours a day and is managed by Bob Hooper. Oil, party supplies, ice cream and soft drinks are some of the supplies you'll find at this convienent store- operated by Blue Ridge Oil Company The three largest grocery stores are- located in Sylva. Across from Grandma's Pancake Barn you will find Potts Bros. Supermarket. The store- is ownen by Harold Potts and is managed by his son Bobby Potts. Potts offers everything one would expect from a super market—fresh produce-, meats, milk, eggs, and canned TOP OF THE STAIRS SPECIALS Items. The Western Carolinian is Western Carolina University’s student-run newspaper. The paper was published as the Cullowhee Yodel from 1924 to 1931 before changing its name to The Western Carolinian in 1933.
