  • -26- GATE-SAK MILL AND TUB MILL NEAR CASHIERS VALLEY, NORTH CAROLINA Grist mills and saw mills were frequently built in one unit as in this example. This saw mill which is rapidly going to pieces is the most complete that has been found. At one time mills of this type were found in many parts of the park, today none of them remain. Complete records both photographic a and measured, should be made of all the evidence which remains of these early industrial structures and their machinery. This information will be necessary in order that accurate restorations of these industries may be included in the field museums. 'fWo SJumi^r UT* L-/2S7f
