Amy begins the show by telling of how her mother was struck by lightning at the age of 14, and she also talks about how she came to have her mother’s diary and the importance of passing on family stories and heritage. “Misty Mountain” by Randy Petersen accompanies the story. On Creative Corner, Doreyl welcomes Chelsea Miller, program assistant at the Green Energy Park in Dillsboro. She talks about a project she is currently working on to make a plaque for the Dillsboro mural. Chelsea also talks about her artistic interests and developing her craft at the park. “He’s Still in the Fire” by the Children of Zion follows in the interview. Amy’s guest on Stories of Mountain Folk is 91-year-old Ruth Ensley Bryson of Cullowhee. She tells some stories about Cullowhee Baptist Church and from her childhood and young adulthood. The interview is followed by “Free Little Bird” by the Valley River Boys. On Coming Around the Mountain, Sean once again welcomes Victoria A. Casey McDonald of Sylva. She talks about her childhood and what it was like growing up in Jackson County, as well as her college years and education. The interview is followed by “Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho” by the Golden Gate Quartet. On Down Another Road, Judy talks with Peggy Swicegood, who grew up in Skyland, south of Asheville. Peggy shares stories of her childhood and adult life in the Biltmore area. “Cherokee Trail” by Dirk Powell and Tim O’Brien follows the interview, and the show closes with “I am Blessed” by Mountain Faith.
