  • To Parents Of Handicapped Children Parents of handicapped children living beyond driving distance of the College may, upon proper screening of their children, secure rooms on the second floor of Robertson Hall, and wheelchair handicapped children will be placed on terrace floor, Madison Hall, where parent and child will be together, during the first term while the Demonstration School is in operation. It is understood that each child thus admitted must first be approved by the head of the Special Education Clinic following the screening test. It is further understood that one of the parents or some other responsible adult designated by the parents as his custodian must accompany the child to the College and remain in charge of him during the term, occupying a room with the child in the dormitory. Such a person will also enroll for courses approved by the head of the Clinic, courses determined as best suited to a better understanding of the child and of his peculiar problems. Room and board for the child and for the adult in charge will be the same as for regular college students, the amount to be payable at the office of the College Bursar. Tuition and other fees for the adult, also payable to the Bursar, are the same as for regular undergraduate students, whether or not work is taken for credit, except that where graduate credit is desired costs will be the same as for other regular graduate students. Tuition of $10 for the child is paid to the Principal of the Demonstration School, where he enrolls. Parents should write early for a bulletin and referral blank.
