  • In a letter to his father Horace Kephart on December 14, 1921, Leonard Kephart reports on the status of Kephart’s children and grandchildren.
  • UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE BUREAU OF PLANT INDUSTRY WASHINGTON December 14, 1921, FORAGE-CROP INVESTIGATIONS Dear Dad; I hare your letter of the llth and the enclosure from Uncle C. J, and will give the data requested to the best of my knowledge and belief. Margaret. Lucy and George are not married and 30 far as I know they do not expect to. Cornelia was married September 2. 1916. at St. Paul, Minn, to Henry Carlton Moore, a Cornell graduate in Agriculture of the class of 1914. fhey have one child, Virginia, born February 15, 1920. Barbara was married June 5, 1920 to Royal Gould Bird, Cornell Forestry 1916. They have no children. I was married November 22, 1916, at Washington, to Frances Jane Frazer, of Schulenberg,Texas. We have two ohildren, Jane Frazer, born February 1, 1918 and George Overton, born February 16, 1920, Ihus all your grandchildren were born in February We ahve known C. I. Kephart for about two years. He is from California and is here as an examiner in the Interstate Commerce Commission. He is a "bug* on Kephart genealogy and is really making a very thorough study of the subjeot. He told me that you had written that you might be up this way in January and we had expected to see you. I am not sure that I will be in Washington in Maroh as Z have a lot of travelling to do now but will be glad to see you if I am. If I am not here be sure to look up C.I.K. whom you can find at the Interstate Commerce Commission at Pennsylvania Ave. and 16th St. n.W. ^0-o-***-"V
