As mother, friend and advocate of the mountain children Berea "craves a gift" from you this year. We are "telling fortunes" this time of year, and wish to open the door of opportunity to all we can. If you "crave to help" Berea will be your prompt, The Mistletoe sympathetic and effective agent. And we are not only helping bright boys and girls —we are solving the greatest of national problems! Needs for this School Year- Current Expenses - - $120,000 This carries school work for over 1300 mountain students (besides 350 children in the Model Schools), supports 90 teachers and officers, provides for an extension service touching five states, and allows something for necessary repairs and equipments. Home Income, from endowment and student fees, 60,000 This does not include boarding hall and other adjuncts each of which has its own income and expenses, the College meeting any final deficits. Amount Required in Gifts, .... 60,000 This is a minimum, "hard times" budget, which must expand if we are to meet adequately the situation. We have larger needs for buildings and endowment, but this is our prayer for "daily bread." Everything depends upon those rare people who send gifts by mail!
