Portrait of Hansen posing with her sewing tools. These are significant to her, and she says, "It's how I live and create. I'm not sure if I could survive without that as an outlet. It's like a drug to me, when I have inspiration no matter how tired I am I have to sew." She moved to Asheville in 2000, originally coming to visit friends on her way to move to Oregon and stayed because she could not think of anywhere else to go- her friends are here and starting from scratch is daunting.
