Christina Catinella

  • Portrait of Catinella holding her leopard gecko, Scandalous. Scandalous is just one of her four pets, and Catinella says, "I feel I am the most like her, always wanting to shed my 'skin' and appear 'new.' I am a mother to all four animals, but feel that the gecko needs the most nurturing, quite like myself. I love all my animals because they make me feel important." She moved to Asheville in 2004 because she and her husband fell in love with it, and has stayed for the people, culture, arts, restaurants, mountains, and progressiveness.
