  • Well Martha your next question is whether I am willing for you to come to Nashville which is a verry (sic) hard question to answer for several reasons first I don’t know whether I will get a furlow (sic) to come home or not nor won’t know five minutes before I get it Jake Furlowes (sic) just who he pleases he furlowed (sic) four men the other day for twenty days all single men that will be no advantage to any boddy (sic) if they were to stay at home six Months 2nd I don’t know how long we will stay here I might write for you to come and against you could get here we might be gone 3rd if you come I am certain to not get a furlow (sic) and you coul -dent (sic, couldn’t) bring all of the children and I want to get a furlow (sic) to come home and see them all
