  • I couldn’t develop it, & I said I could. Well, the upshot of it was that he said he’d let me try it if I would agree to write another in case he didn’t like it. I wrote 30 pages on The Development of Dramatic Technique from the 11th C to 1566, that included everything from plot to stage directions. When I took my oral, he made it very easy, & was so nice to me, but of course I was worried over that paper. Then I had to study for my other exam, which I took yesterday, & without a doubt it was the most difficult Eng. exam I ever took in my life. I started writing at ten minutes of & did not even look up from my paper until 10:30. Speaking of writer’s cramp! Then I went to his office to turn in my paper & he told me that just as soon as Mrs. Sharp came
