  • of Nos. 71 and 73, the scenic loop continues by way oi Observation Point, Fightin' Creek Gap, Townsend, Kinzel Springs, Sunshine, and Walland, passing through, en route, the rugged and beautiful Little River Gorge. The trip is then completed by going through Maryville and Rockford to Knoxville. Road Conditions: Knoxville to Maryville: Hardsurfaced. Maryville to Deal's Gap and Robbinsville: Crushed stone surface. Robbinsville to Topton, Bryson City, and intersection Nos. 10 and 107: Hardsurfaced. No. 107 to Cherokee: Gravel road, passable in any weather. In event No. 107 is put under construction, No. 112, now under construction, will be opened to traffic. (To reach No. 112, continue on No. 10 for 3.9 miles beyond intersection of No. 107. Turn left on No. 112 and follow it for 6.3 miles to Cherokee, where connection is again made with No. 107.) No. 107, Cherokee to near Smokemont: Under construction. It is open to travel, but has short, passable detours. No. 107 from near Smokemont to Newfound Gap: Asphalt surface. From Newfound Gap to intersection No. 73: Surfaced with crushed stone. From intersection No. 73 to Maryville: Hard- surfaced.
