  • As I have said often before, but it will loose none of its force by repeating it that, your dear children are of superior, consecrated birth, so that, they have a priceless heritage upon which to build. I do not agree with you that “Dick” is a pretty fine fellow, he is positively the dearest, handsomest fellow in every way that I know of. God will bless him and you for it, Your description of the spirit in which he does this is so characteristic of the dear fellow, I noticed that charming trait in him from the very first of my acquaintance with him. I am indeed sorry for Rufus, I hope he will soon be himself again. I am wondering just what he expects to make out of himself. “In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths”. God will take care of those who trust Him and the right path will be mapped out for all who trust Him. I believe your boys future will be made clear. Yes I have always had in mind a prominent place in the Carver Prod. Co. for dear “Dick” if he wished it, I think I can get him in to do the technical chemical work, they want me to do it, of course I will have to start them off, but I cannot do the work any longer than I can train some one else. The person must have a creative chemical mind, few people have such a mind, “Dear Dick” has it in a very pronounced way, and then he is such a dear lovely boy in every other way my “Timothy”. I am really glad the company has not started before now as it has given him an opportunity to get more education, of course there are many, many applications already in, some from finished industrial chemists, but
