Dear Sir: — your Committee soon after appointment wrote the letter herewith attached to twenty officers of Boards of Trade and Chambers of Commerce, intending to forward more should the said twenty meet with favorable results. Failing to hear from any of the letters it was decided that the expense would not 'warrant further effort. If the Association suggests that we continue this plan in spite of the unfavorable results so far obtained your Committee will be glad to write similar letters to other parties. From other sources there has been addition to the membership of the' Association nine names. Respectfully submitted, Claybrook James, Chairman, M. D. Long, W. B. Northup, Dictated.
