My dear Sir: - In pursuance of the met tar mentioned in your letter of the 26th ult, I have been instructed by the President of our Board of Trade of Asheville to write you for further particulars concerning the Tusculaneum. The President of our Board of Trade thinks favorably of the project and /ow.ld know Bier* regarding the school you purpose to locate in North Carolina, T»e do not believe there would be any trouble whatever in securing a location which would be favorable and without doubt could secure aasiatan©* toward the erection of a building to be used for such purposes. Description

The Membership Committee of the Appalachian National Park Association drafted a letter to various Boards of Trade to build membership in the association. Heading the committee was Claybrook James, general manager of the Asheville Hardware Company. Included in this correspondence is This a 2-page list of delegates represented by various Boards of Trade and Chambers of Commerce who will attend a convention held in October 1902, sponsored by the Appalachian National Park Association and the Asheville Board of Trade. The convention was successful with 1,500 people from various states attending.
