The dinner will be held in the Grandroom of the AK Hinds University Center. The Madrigal Christmas Dinner Is set up as the Lord and Lady's Manor. The Lord and Lady greet all guests at the door, just as if these guests were visiting their home. Dinner revolves around the traditional aspects of the 16th Century, from the bringing in of the Boars head before the meal, to the farewell toasting to good health. All guests enjoy dinner, dessert, and the performance of the Early Music Ensemble, along with the arrival of certain guests, such as , the Queen or other high dignitaries from 16th Century England. There is also a lighting of candles in the celebration of Christ. The Music Department organizes the Early Music Ensemble, and they sing Christmas songs of life and Christ. Robert Zipper, Donald Loeffler, Robert Holquist, and the Dooley's of the Music Department prepared the original script. Guests come from many areas, from as far away as Chapel Hill, to attend the dinner celebration. Everyone in attendance participates in the Madrigal Christmas Dinner, from the greeting to the exit. The Madrigal Christmas Dinner ends in a "very magical moment," as Patrick Williamson states. "These people have come to celebrate Christmas dinner and Christ, and they do. Guests go away in the right mood, it's a very sentimental evening." Tickets will go on sale at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov 3rd, and will continue until all tickets are sold. The price of tickets is $8.50 for WCU students, and S15.75 for the general public. p3(22K227_^p ■^m ±^Sk
