  • MARCH 29, 1979/THE WESTERN CAROLINIAN/PAGE 13 Greek Beat Greek week begins Monday There is more to being "Greek" than drinking beer, holding meetings and rushing new members and next week the WCU fraternities and sororities are out to prove it. it's Greek Week and that means games, parties, activities and hard work toward a major goal—raising money for Cerebral Palsy. The WCU fraternities and sororities have planned an entire week of activities for their enjoyment and the enjoyment of all the students at WCU. The activities include a Gong Show, a kidnap, a carnival, a chariot race, a 1950's day, a Saturday afternoon party and more with all the proceeds going to a very worthwhile cause. The fraternities and sororities urge all the students of WCU to join in the fun and to come out and participate in the activities. It's a chance to learn more about the Greeks, have a good time and help the Greeks help National Cerebral Palsy Greek Week is sponsored jointly by the Panhellenic Council and the President's Council of WCU. Students interested in learning more about the activities during Greek Week or in helping the Greeks help Cerebral Palsy should contact Bobby Street at 293-9990 or contact any person in any Greek fraternity on the WCU campus.
