Concerning the receipt of VA benefits beginning with the fall semester, 1977, recent regulation changes prevent the Veterans Office at WCU from certifying anyone until the first day of registration for the fall semester (8/22/77). Simply, this means that, with the demise of the advance payments and pre-payments, the Student will be without a VA check for at least 4-6 weeks into the first semester. If you are planning to attend the fall semester, you must come to the veteran's office (Scott 107) on or after the first day or registration to begin the certification process. Based on this important policy change, it is advisable to begin making the necessary financial preparations in order to be able to make payments for fall semester tuition and fees charges. TYPING!
