  • Page 8 THE WESTERN CAROLINIAN Carolinian News Briefs Foosball Tourney A county-wide doubles Foosball Championship will be held in the A. K. Hinds University Center at Western Carolina University Monday through Wednesday next week. Competition begins at 7 p.m. The winners will be given trophies by the University Center Board and will be eligible to compete in the state doubles foosball tournament. Persons may register at the university center before 5 p.m. Nov. 18. Registration fees are $4 for each team. All proceeds go to the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Him Conspiracy Members and supporters of the Film Conspiracy are invited to meet Thursday night in McKee 114 at 7:00 to select films for Winter Quarter. Library hours Library hours for the week of Thanksgiving have been changed this year because Exam Week begins on the Monday following Thanksgiving. The hours from Nov. 27 through Dec. 1 are: Wednesday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Thursday, Closed all day; Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday, open from 2-11 p.m, Fabric Sale There will be a fabric sale in the Cherokee Room of the I niversity Center November 23 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. All fabric will sell for Si.Oil per yd. NOMAD Manuscripts for the "Nomad," Western Carolina University's literary magazine, are now being accepted in Room 216-A McKee. Submissions can either be left in the office, or given to William Paulk, faculty adviser to the publication. During a recent meeting of the "Nomad" staff, officers were elect ?d for the upcoming 1975 issue. The positions are as follows: editor-in-chief, Geary Yelton; prose editor, Jack Su-nme.-s: poetry editor, Suzanne Yelton; business manager, Kay Perkins; publicity manager, Kevin Boufelle. Deadline for all manuscripts is January 15, and all subm's- sions should be typed, double- spaced and completed in two copies.
