College Photographic Group Contributes Much To Campus An organization which receives little notice but contributes much to our campus is the Cullowhee Photographic Society. This organization was formed five years ago by Dr. Quinn Constantz. The organization varies from five to 30 members and membership is based on a genuine interest in photography. The Society exists for the purpose of those interested in photography and to provide photography for the campus. The club operates informally but it was necessary for it to establish a constitution to meet the college requirements for an organization. The club invites anyone to join and the only prerequisite is a camera. In an interview with Dr. Constantz it was learned that he had two interests in photography. The first of these is as a medium of instruction. The other is to keep an interest on campus so that the college will have students for the areas where photography is needed. Some of these are the yearbook, the campus newspaper, sports, publicity and news of all sorts. Dr. Constantz feels that if the club did not exist the campus might find itself short in photographers. He feels that the club offers a great opportunity for the photographer to increase his knowledge as a photographer through a hobby. In the future the club would like to expand and obtain some of the needed supplies to make it more efficient and educational. One thing which they feel should be added is access to a dark room. Also, they would like to have the equipment to enlarge photos and prints. Spring quarter pledges of Delta Zeta Sorority include (seated) Saundra Almond, Maxie Adams, Lu Ann Bryan, and Becky White.
