The Catamounts will be returning a strong defensive unit, with ten starters and a number of key reserves back off a sepiad which was second last season in the Southern Conference in overall defense; but it will be the offense which will tell the story. Plavcr of the Year, second nationally in pass receiving). But the Cats running game is suspect. Should several bright spots appear in the offensive back-field and the rest of the team remain relatively injury free, the Southern Conference championship, which just barely eluded the Catamounts last season, may this year be grasped.
