He is Chairman of the Joint Advisory Committee between the University of North Carolina, the Community College System, and Private Colleges; member of the Board of Directors of the Mountain Area Health Education Foundation. Inc.. member of the boards of C. J, Harris Hospital in Sylva and St. Joseph's Hospital in Asheville; and is a member and director of many other state and national professional associations and committees. A native of Mitchell County, North Carolina, Dr. Robinson is a graduate of Mars Hill College and holds the bachelor's and master's degrees from North Carolina State University. He holds the Ph.D. degree in genetics and plant breeding from the University of Nebraska and was awarded the honorary Doctor of Science •l- degree from that institution in 1966. vice chancellor for academic affairs. He came to WCU from the staff of the College Entrance Examinations board. There he served as director of their Southern Regional Office, and other administrative posts. Before joining the board he was chairman of the psychology department at Southern Methodist University. He has also served as an industrial consultant with clients like the Dallas Cowboys, members of the National Hockey League, advertising firms, and law enforcement agencies. He has studied at Baylor University, Southern Methodist University, and received a Ph.D. in industrial psychology at Ohio State University. He is married and has three children. and received his Ph.D. from Florida State University. He has held administrative positions at the University of Alabama, Florida State University, Michigan Technical University, and the University of New Mexico. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Association for Higher Education and the Ameri- can College Personnel Association. He also is active in civic affairs. I. 1974.
